this may be a way referring to the group that influenced us the most, the Velvet Underground, along with perhaps the Beatles. the Beatles for me is like the Bible, or the Iliad or the Odyssey. a sort of huge block of granite. and the Velvet Underground... well the Beatles is childhood, this is adolescence, the discovery of subversion.
