RECAP: BON JOVI CONCERT @ HONDA CENTER

. 100% white folks. drunk white folks
. 0% African American folks. not one at the Bon Jovi concert.
. Dashboard Confessional opened for Bon Jovi. they werent bad. not bad at all
. the parking lot was full of trucks and family vans. nothing but Dodge, Chevy, Ford and Toyota trucks and vans.
. one white chick was drunk before Bon Jovi performed and was throwing up into a plastic cup the whole time... her friends looked pissed. they went to have a good time and listen to live music. not baby sit a friend that cant hold down a few cups of beer. great job!
. at one point my brother and i smelled weed. so i looked around to see if anyone was really smoking a blunt or anything in our area of the arena. the guy sitting behind us noticed that i was sniffing around and asked if id like to buy some weed from him or if id like to smoke alittle with him. really dude? why the hell would i wanna smoke with you? why would i want to smoke weed at a Bon Jovi concert? wrong place at the wrong time buddy...
. a chick passed by us and her scent offended my brothers nostrils. he said that she STANK! really bad! i thought it was just the smell of the food she was carrying. later i saw that she wasnt carrying any food. so yeah. i too think she smelled really bad. shit was gross...
. Bon Jovi has great hair
. Bon Jovi got everyones panties wet
. we stopped by In and Out after the show. i know its friday and us Catholics cant eat meat during lent. but, i ate it anyways. i got myself a double double with grilled onions

HIGH FIDELITY

What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?
Should I bolt every time I get that feeling in my gut when I meet someone new? Well, I've been listening to my gut since I was 14 years old, and frankly speaking, I've come to the conclusion that my guts have shit for brains.
I always had one foot out the door, and that prevented me from doing a lot of things, like thinking about my future and... I guess it made more sense to commit to nothing, keep my options open. And that's suicide. By tiny, tiny increments.
She didn't make me miserable, or anxious, or ill at ease. You know, it sounds boring, but it wasn't. It wasn't spectacular either. It was just good. But really good.

Songs at my funeral: "Many Rivers to Cross" by Jimmy Cliff, "Angel" by Aretha Franklin, and I've always had this fantasy that some beautiful, tearful woman would insist on "You're the Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me" by Gladys Knight. But who would that woman be?

THE BEE GEES - INSIDE AND OUT (feist cover)

Baby, I can't figure it out
Your kisses taste like honey
Sweet lies don't gimme no rise up
Fool, what you're trying to do

Livin' on your cheatin'
and the pain grows inside me
It's enough to leave me crying in the rain
Love you forever but you're driving me insane
And I'm hanging on
Oh, oh, oh, oh

I'll wait, I'll never give in
Our love has got the power
Too many lovers in one lifetime
Ain't good for you
You treat me like a vision in the night
Someone there to stand behind you
When your world ain't working right
I ain't no vision, I'm the girl
who loves you inside and out
Backwards and forwards with my heart hanging out
I love no other way
What are we gonna do if we lose that fire?

Wrap myself up and take me home again
Too many heartaches in one lifetime ain't good for me
You figure it's the love that keeps you warm
Let this moment be forever
We won't ever feel the storm
I ain't no vision, I'm the girl
Who loves you inside and out
Backwards and forwards with my heart hanging out
I love no other way
What are we gonna do if we lose that fire?

Don't try to tell me that it's over
I can't hear a word I can't hear a lie
No girl could love you more
And that's what I'm cryin' for
You can't change the way I feel inside

You're the reason for my laughter and my sorrow
Blow out the candle I will burn again tomorrow
No man on earth can stand between my loving arms
And no matter how you hurt me, I will love you till I die

I ain't no vision, I'm the girl
Who loves you inside and out
Backwards and forwards with my heart hanging out
I love no other way
What are we gonna do if we lose that fire?

Loves you inside and out
Backwards and forwards with my heart hanging out
I love no other way
What are we gonna do if we lose that fire

Inside and out
